surfers with the goal to create a surf company that had the ability to put the
focus of soul back into surfing. Disillusioned with the current state of the
surf industry the group wanted to keep surfing true to its roots. While many
surf companies ventured to mass production and over seas manufacturing Phase
One Surf kept their focus local and supported local surfers, shapers, and the
surfing community. Today, Phase One represents over 5 local shapers in
Southern California and does not have any boards made by machine or produced
overseas. Phase One Surf continues to be headquartered in San Diego to this
day. The Phase One Surf team set the goal to create an online business that
could provide excellent customer service, top of the line production, and surf
knowledge to the masses. Phase One Surf would like to share the soul rooted in
their products and boards with you. The Phase One Surf team has turned their
vast knowledge into a business and has contracted the best local shapers and
product distributors to provide each customer with excellent deals and advice
